Puerto Galera is deservedly famous for its world-class scuba diving.
It is also an exciting place to do lots of other fun activities from island hopping to visiting waterfalls or having your own beach BBQ!
Golf
Ponderosa Golf Club is situated 450 meters above sea level in a beautiful tropical alpine setting. It is a challenging and fun 9-hole course. Clubs, balls, caddy etc. are available for rent too.
The views alone are worth a trip to Ponderosa!

Sailing
The Puerto Galera Yacht Club is an integral part of the local community and well known to the international cruising community. Visitors are welcome to drop in at anytime. Particular highlights of the year are the New Year, Easter and Halloween regattas. For more information visit the PGYC website.
Small sailing boats are available for hire. And if you are staying at Out of the Blue for several days, why not learn to sail? Just let us know in advance so we can get things organized!
Beach Barbeques
Puerto Galera’s many islands and isolated beaches offer the perfect opportunity to have a special picnic or beach BBQ. Getting there in a local outrigger boat or jeepney is half the fun.
Then spend the day swimming or lazing in a cool river stream, doing some exploring or just enjoying a picnic or BBQ lunch and some nice cool drinks.
We can pre-prepare everything in advance and even send along staff to help with the BBQ.
Island Hopping
Hire your own private out-rigger boat (bangka) and discover nearby beaches and islands, each with its own charm and scenic spots.
Perfect for snorkeling, beach BBQs or just taking a refreshing dip on a perfect tropical beach. Oh, don't forget your camera!
Self Indulgence
Pamper yourself with a poolside or in-room massage, rejuvenating spa treatment or in-room full-body massage and manicure.

Snorkeling - Coral Gardens
Directly in front of Out of the Blue or nearby Big LaLaguna Beach, just put on your mask and snorkel and slip into the water and you will enjoy some great snorkeling just 30 metres from shore.
Or let us organize a snorkeling half day adventure for you at nearby Coral Gardens. Best time is mid-morning to early afternoon while the sun is directly overhead. All the necessary equipment is readily available for hire on the beach at modest rates, including safety vests.
Shooting Range
Feel like letting off some steam? Then an hour or so at the Puerto Galera Shooting Range might just be what you need! A variety of weapons for rent are available, from the .22 to the mighty .45. Don't worry if you've never fired a gun before, instructors are available to help whatever your skill level.
The Out of the Blue team can organize everything in advance, including transport there and back.
Tamarraw and Tukuran Waterfalls
Not far from Puerto Galera is Tamaraw Falls where you can enjoy a picnic lunch and let the refreshing waters cascade over you while relaxing in one of the many rock pools. Or you can trek or take a buffalo cart to Tukuran Falls. A beautiful spot, where for thousands of years, the waterfalls have carved out pools and smaller falls in the surrounding boulders.

Trekking
Explore the local terrain and perhaps visit nearby mountains, waterfalls or rivers. For the less energetic, part of the journey can be by water buffalo! A fun adventure amidst nature. Just let us know in advance and the Out of the Blue team will get it organized!

Motor Bike Riding
Hiring a motorbike is an excellent way to explore the vibrant surroundings of Puerto Galera at your own pace. With a motorbike, you can venture off the beaten path, enjoy scenic rides along winding coastal roads with breathtaking views, or reach secluded "must-see" spots you might otherwise miss.
Just ask the Out of the Blue team for assistance, or hire a bike from one of the many vendors in nearby Sabang Beach.
Mangyan Village
The Iraya Mangyan village settlement in Talipanan, Puerto Galera, offers a unique chance to experience the culture and craftsmanship of the Mangyans, the indigenous people of Mindoro, who still reside in small villages across the island.
Here, you can explore and purchase a variety of handcrafted items, such as baskets, bags, and household goods made from natural local materials. Just ask and we will get it organized!
Night Life
Nearby Sabang Beach (just 800meters away) offers a lively evening scene with numerous eating and drinking spots, where you can enjoy an inexpensive meal, a casual drink, play pool, or watch live international sports.
And, as the night progresses, enjoy the music and entertainment offered by the local discos and bars.
White Beach
White Beach, Puerto Galera’s popular spot for Filipino day trippers, is a great place to spend the day and early evening. Go joy riding on the waves or boat parachuting above the sea, shop for souvenirs or simply relax on the beach and take a dip in the clear blue waters.
